Double Exposure & Image Blending Mode
What is Double Exposure Photography?: Double-exposure photography combines
pictures. Make them surreal, emotional, or
funny. Silhouettes are typical. A double
exposure effect may appear difficult. However,
Adobe Photoshop and in-camera creation are
simple. There are various ways to make
multiple exposures than a camera. Editors
have unlimited options. You can make regular
                                                                                       photos powerful masterpieces.

           1. Using the Tilt-Shift Effect: Photoshop has a great tilt-shift tool that will transform
your photos into soft works of art. If you want to be extra
creative, blur one of your photos instead of the
entire image. Or blur everything except for one important
detail. To add this feature, go to Filter > Blur Gallery >
                                                                Tilt-Shift.

           2. Create Fake Reflection: Reflections can be made several ways. A window shot can
be used to create a double-exposure. Main subject surface
with rainfall and bokeh. This gives multiple exposure
                                                           photos fascinating textures.

           3. Experiment with Simple Portraits & Detailed Textures: Combining simple and
                                                                                                                     complex creates equilibrium.
                                                                                                                     It also saves many simple
                                                                                                                     photos you might discard.

           4. Convert your Results to Black & White: Double-exposure photos with less colour
convey more emotion. Try this to express
your work vulnerably. Like film photography,
it adds depth and lets you try new things.

           5. Work with Silhouette: Many double exposure photographers choose to work with
silhouettes. But what if you worked with silhouettes only? It
would give you a fun and doable challenge. And an opportunity
to show very creative sides of yourself.

           6. Pick Two Random Photo: A random process can be meaningful. Your results may
inspire others with their narrative. Many double-exposure
photos were happy accidents. They generated tremendous
feedback and creative progress. Ignore other double-
exposure ideas. Instead, photograph intriguing textures,
                                                               patterns, and forms.

           7. Make Simple Objects Look Fascinating: Take images of daily items you overlook. Try
to disguise them. Like the shot below, a
dreary building shadow can become a starry
sky. Increase your imagination with this
                                                                                         strategy.

           8. Use Shadow: Any outline works well for double-exposure photography. Shadows
work as well as silhouettes in this genre. Working with them is
fascinating. Outlines like this can be used for anything. Just go outside,
take shots of some shadows, then make them lovely.

Photoshop Blend Modes
When dealing with blend modes, you should expect to do a lot of trial and error. You
usually seem to wind up trying out various modes and Fill opacities till you obtain the
results you're after because the outcomes are so hard to predict.

Project 2A (pt1)
After learning about Double Exposure, Mr. Fauzi had instructed us to recreate Double
Exposure with the given images and then proceed to create Double Exposure with our
own images that we had taken of ourselves.

Project 2A (pt2)
For the self-portrait part of this project, I had to take my own picture and look on
pinterest for images I feel that are suitable for my own Double Exposure. Below are the
images I had chosen for this project:
